Baleri Italia – Juliette Chair

On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of Juliette Chair by Hannes Wettstein, Baleri Italia chose to pay homage to one of its most iconic products with a project that celebrates the encounter between design and art. Three contemporary artists – Luigi CarboniJacob Hashimoto and Herbert Hamak – are asked to interpret the “supersleek” and they will be photographed in three emblematic shots.

  • Michael Najjar will be one of the protagonists of the exhibition Galileo and the Arts. The starry sky above me, promoted by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo and set up at Palazzo del Monte di Pietà in Padua.   • Alberto Garutti is the winner of the international Art Competition for the creation of the artworks for the Tre Soglie in Ca’ Corniani; the contest, part of a large project of landscape improvement curated by the architecture studio LAND, has been announced last June: Elena Tettamanti and Antonella Soldaini curated the art, while the landscape was curated by Andreas Kipar.


  • Opens on 21 October the 24th edition of the Noorderlicht International Photography Festival which is focussed on NUCLEUS | Imagining science. The Festival is curated by Wim Mellis and includes 74 artists and photographers from 26 countries. Michael Najjar has been invited to participate in Noorderlicht with a comprehensive solo exhibition of his “outer space” work series.

  • On Thursday 12 October 2017 Studio la Città will be opening the group show titled In the depth of identity, with works by Christian Fogarolli, Bepi Ghiotti, Tamara Janes, Francisco Muñoz Perez, curated by Andrea Lerda.
    By proposing the art of four artists who in various ways show an interest in dealing with this theme, In the depth of identity highlights this inexhaustible need to measure ourselves against the topos of identity, by underlining its qualities of changeability, inconsistency, and precariousness.

  • Luigi Carboni, Arthur Duff, Herbert Hamak and David Simpson are just some of the artists of the CHROMOPHOBIA. The exhibition, curated by Aldo Parisotto and in collaboration with the Studio la Città art galleries, Galleria de’ Foscherari and Galleria Africa Curio, was born through dialogue and the fusion of architecture, art and design.

  • The visual artist Andreco introduces in Venice Climate 04-Sea Level Rise, a project between art and science focused on the consequences of the climatic changes and the rising sea level. Climate 04-Sea Level Rise is the fourth step of the Climate project, which is composed by a series of interventions that took place in different European cities; the project includes three different interventions, specifically conceived and developed for the city of Venice: a big wall painting, an installation and a talk which will analyse climate change under a scientific and artistic point of view.
