McDonald’s opens its new Chicago headquarters in the West Loop neighborhood. A project that combines design and culture, which intends to embrace today’s changes in work and lifestyles. Inside the building stands a huge waterfall of colored kites: a suspended installation by our artist Jacob Hasimoto, tailor-made to welcome visitors in the atrium of the new building. Masculinities: Liberation through Photography is a major group exhibition that explores how masculinity is experienced, performed, coded and socially constructed through the works of photographers and film-maker from the 1960s to the present day, featuring also some pieces by Mikhael Subotzky. On 13 February 2020, Podbielski Contemporary gallery will open the exhibition: Pleasure Garden, a project curated by Pierre André Podbielski who through a research work over the years ’70 in Paris and recently in Milan, intends to propose a new photographic approach on the artistic nude. Among the works on display also some photographs of the Swedish Bo Ljugblom, an artist recently rediscovered by Studio la Città, whose works have been included in the exhibition: What I did not sell. 50 Years. A Story, now on display in Verona.

Starting from 25 January 2020, Gabriele Basilico’s photographs will be the protagonists in Rome of an important exhibition focusing on the theme of the city, showcasing approximately 270 photographs ranging from the 1960s to the 2000s, some them on display here for the very first time. Gas Giant was exhibited in 2013 in a solo show organized by Studio la Città on the fourth floor of the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice, in the space recently renovated by Mario Botta. Read more
The photographs by Massimo Vitali will be on display at the MAF – Ettore Fico Museum, starting on Wednesday 26 February 2020. The exhibition will include more than 30 works, chosen from the production of his last twenty-five years.

Silvana Editoriale has published the new book by Vincenzo Castella: BERLIN ’89 which presents for the first time the shots of the photographer’s stay in Berlin, between August and September 1989. A limited edition of 500 numbered copies with text by Frank Boehm (German-Italian-English).

From Tuesday, September 20, 2019 at the various locations of the Verona University you can admire the works from the Giorgio and Anna Fasol collection (AGI Verona). The exhibition Contemporanee / Contemporanei, curated by Denis Isaia, collects 80 works by artists of different generations.
Now on sale the catalogue of the group exhibition Recursions and Mutations. The catalogue, published by Silvana Editoriale, consist of 64 pages and contains essays by Jacob Hashimoto and Daniele Capra.
