Hiroyuki Masuyama is one of the protagonists of the exhibition Geierwally und der Berg in der zeitgenössischen Kunst which inaugurated last week at the Kunstmuseum in Solingen. Masuyama participates with its lightboxes depicting the mountains that the artist has created by taking about 300-400 photographs from a small helicopter flying over the main European peaks (such as Mont Blanc or the Matterhorn) in order to create his imaginary mountain.

  • On 13 February 2020, Podbielski Contemporary gallery will open the exhibition: Pleasure Garden, a project curated by Pierre André Podbielski who through a research work over the years ’70 in Paris and recently in Milan, intends to propose a new photographic approach on the artistic nude.   • Starting from 25 January 2020, Gabriele Basilico’s photographs will be the protagonists in Rome of an important exhibition focusing on the theme of the city, showcasing approximately 270 photographs ranging from the 1960s to the 2000s, some them on display here for the very first time.   • The Gas Giant installation by Jacob Hashimoto appears in the ranking of the 100 key art of the 2010s, published by Artnet!
    Gas Giant was exhibited in 2013 in a solo show organized by Studio la Città on the fourth floor of the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice, in the space recently renovated by Mario Botta. Read more


  • The photographs by Massimo Vitali will be on display at the MAF – Ettore Fico Museum, starting on Wednesday 26 February 2020. The exhibition will include more than 30 works, chosen from the production of his last twenty-five years.

  • Silvana Editoriale has published the new book by Vincenzo Castella: BERLIN ’89 which presents for the first time the shots of the photographer’s stay in Berlin, between August and September 1989. A limited edition of 500 numbered copies with text by Frank Boehm (German-Italian-English).
