  • The photographs by Massimo Vitali will be on display at the MAF – Ettore Fico Museum, starting on Friday 25 September 2020. The exhibition will include more than 30 works, chosen from the production of his last twenty-five years.

  • Studio la Città continues with its collaboration with the city museums, in particular with the Museo di Castelvecchio. This time the protagonist of the collaboration is the installation by the artist from Athens Costas Varotsos, titled Orizzonte, a work from 1996 in iron and glass that the artist, habituated to working in large and often natural spaces, has decided to place in the castle gardens.


  • Arthur Duff is taking part in the fourteenth edition of Meccaniche della Meraviglia, a cultural manifestation directed by Albano Morandi who has involved eight artists of national and international fame, and who has asked them to intervene with installations and site-specific works in various areas of the city of Brescia and of Puegnago del Garda.


  • Giorgia Severi is one of the four artists who are part of Nature Inquiete, a collective show that opens on 4 September 2020 in the Church of Santa Maria dell’Angelo in Faenza. The exhibition is organized by the Diocesan Museum of Faenza and curated by Giovanni Giardini. The site-specific installation About The Creation was created for the apse of the Church of Santa Maria dell’Angelo in Faenza for this landscape exhibition.


  • In October Studio la Città will be opening its new series of exhibitions with the show La Musée 2 – a group show curated by Azad Asifovich and organised in collaboration with the Galerie Italienne, Paris – which brings together fourteen female artists of international renown, and that for the stop in Italy has been augmented with some new works. In fact the long term aim of the show is to become an itinerant exhibition, to be proposed for a tour that will touch on various venues, enlarged at times while keeping intact its intent. The opening date, scheduled for October 10, 2020, could be postponed to 2021 due to the current health situation based on the evolution of the pandemic from Covid-19.


  • Luigi Carboni and Marco Neri are among the nine artists, of three different generations, presented within the exhibition: DISTANZIAMENTI: until 27 September 2020 at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Ascoli Piceno. The issue of distance, physical and symbolic, is addressed through possible contemporary pictorial research.


  • Hiroyuki Masuyama will show his lightboxes in a solo exhibition set up at high altitude. The Messner Mountain Museum in Firmian will host: Growing Mountains, an exhibition created in collaboration with Studio la Città, which can be visited from 5 July 2020.  Messner Mountain Museum Firmian | until 8 November 2020.


  • Nine Sicilian artists agreed to the invitation of Davide Bramante and Aldo Premoli, respectively front man and curator of this exhibition in order to show their works in the magnificent Tina di Lorenzo Theater, in Noto (Sicily). The theater had never accepted exhibitions before: it did so exceptionally this summer 2020 in the face of a program interrupted due to the Covid-19. Foyer Davide Bramante & Friends.   • Started from an idea by the gallery dealers Hélène de Franchis (Studio la Città, Verona), Alessandro Pron (Galerie Italienne, Paris), and by the critic Marco Meneguzzo, together with the fundamental support of Angelo Martini, director of the auction house of the same name in Brescia, the AIUTIAMO GLI ARTISTI/LET’S HELP THE ARTISTS project is an auction that will take place from 15 to 21 June 2020.

    We have decided to  ask the artists in this show a single and simple question: why do you use glass?

    Perhaps it is not a bad thing that the show can be enjoyed through a visual metaphor, given that the protagonist is seductive transparency…

  • Starting from May, 19 – 2020, Studio la Città will be opening a solo show of recent works by Massimiliano Gatti, a photographer who for years has moved between Italy and the Middle East in the footsteps of important archaeological missions.


  • Studio la Città was supposed to open the VETRO (GLASS) exhibition on 21 March 2020. The Covid emergency forced us to close the doors of our gallery and to postpone the opening.     7 December 2019 will be an important date for Studio la Città: it will be fifty years since the gallery was opened and its founder, Hélène de Franchis, has decided to celebrate the event with a curious show, with a purposely provocative title.

  • McDonald’s opens its new Chicago headquarters in the West Loop neighborhood. A project that combines design and culture, which intends to embrace today’s changes in work and lifestyles.   • On 13 February 2020, Podbielski Contemporary gallery will open the exhibition: Pleasure Garden, a project curated by Pierre André Podbielski who through a research work over the years ’70 in Paris and recently in Milan, intends to propose a new photographic approach on the artistic nude.   • Starting from 25 January 2020, Gabriele Basilico’s photographs will be the protagonists in Rome of an important exhibition focusing on the theme of the city, showcasing approximately 270 photographs ranging from the 1960s to the 2000s, some them on display here for the very first time.
