Premio Michetti – Giorgia Severi

Once there was the Ocean – Mt. Zeil, West MacDonnell Range, 2016

The new edition of Premio Michetti will take place from 14 July to 30 September in the spaces of MuMi-Museo Michetti, in Francavilla al Mare. Renato Barilli, the curator of the prize, decided to focus on the latest trends of contemporary art, following a personal path he started 1992, when he curated his first edition of the award. Among the artists who confirmed their participation to the prize, Giorgia Severi will present Once there was the Ocean – Mt. Zeil, West MacDonnell Range, a frottage of the highest mountain of West MacDonnell Range in the red desert of Central Australia, that was an ocean millions of years ago. The work was first presented by la città projects in ArteFiera Bologna last February.
