Tracey Snelling alla Biennale di Venezia

hotpot_mixtape1b_sm

Tracey Snelling will participate in the 58th Venice Art Biennale with her solo show Shanghai/Chongqing Hot Pot/Mixtape supported and promoted by Swatch.

For this participation Snelling is inspired by China by creating a series of installations composed of images and videos, as well as media found, including a rap video of Chongqing by artist Jin Cheng. The different works play each other in a cacophony of visual effects, lights and layered sounds, capturing Snelling’s complex and varied experiences of a chaotic, beautiful and sometimes challenging country.
