The new installation “IN HIDING” will center around one large-scale work consisting of two laser projectors that project a continuous stream of words. Each of the projectors will be projecting perpendicularly onto the facing walls and long-ways onto their respective adjacent walls. The focal point of the gallery will be the far right corner. Both lasers will project words and phrases which seemingly rotate around the corner. The title of the laser projection, “IN HIDING”, is key to reading the work. The words, which will be fired onto the facing walls, have sequential order. They follow a pattern that observes a grammatically correct composition, but the conclusion is extended farther and farther off. This work attempts to displace notions of space and meaning, playing with our perception of physicality while using classical elements of sculpture, where language and the human condition are discussed and exposed in a playful yet weighty means of approaching Art and the art world.
