  • For Enel’s 60th anniversary, the light installation by Arthur Duff “EYES WITH EYES. RIFLESSI FUTURI” lights up at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. Curated by Valentina Ciarallo, from 6 to 28 December 2022.


  • ART AS A HUB: CREATION OF SUSTAINABLE VALUE: a Round Table which will take place on Tuesday 13 December 2022 at 5.30 pm at the headquarters of the Imago Mundi Foundation in Treviso. Different actors who make up the artistic value production network will meet: private foundations, commercial galleries and service providers will discuss opportunities and critical issues in the sector, presenting their stories and experiences. Event in collaboration with Arte Generali in which Hélène de Franchis will also participate as a speaker.

     


  • Until November 30, 2022, the Natural History Museum of Verona hosts the solo exhibition of the artist Pia Gazzola: Segni di Segni, in collaboration with Studio la Città. This exhibition is the second chapter of a larger project, inaugurated on 14 October 2022 in the prestigious hall of the Museum reserved for Bolca fossils with the exhibition Pagine fossili.


  • Now and Ever. Pattern and Decoration

  • After the success of the first edition held in Palermo, a new edition of Hit! is on its way. A nomadic, shared, exotic, sustainable and very small art fair to be held in Verona from 10 until 13 November 2022, within the exhibition space of Studio la Città. Participating galleries: Boccanera Gallery – Trento/Milano, Corraini Galleria e Edizioni – Mantova, Piero Atchugarry Gallery – Miami, RizzutoGallery – Palermo, SARAHCROWN – New York, Studio la Città – Verona, Workplace – London.


  • From September 29 to October 16, SUPERLAB – an innovative hub for companies and start-ups in the Bicocca district in Milan – hosts an exhibition curated by Francesca Canfora. For this occasion Arthur Duff exhibits a light installation of environmental dimensions that interacts with the industrial building conceived by the Balance Architettura studio. Ph.   • Great Italian and international photography is exhibited in Forlì, at the San Domenico Museums, from September 17, 2022 to January 8, 2023, within the exhibition: “Civilization: Vivere, Survivere, Buon Vivere“. Three hundred works by 130 photographers and photographers from five continents, including the symbolic image of the largest radio telescope in the world taken by Michael Najjar.


  • The presentation of the new book about Herbert Hamak will be held at Studio la Città on Saturday 24 September at 11:30 am: HERBERT HAMAK 1992 – 2022. 30 years with Studio la Città.
    The book – Italian-English edition – contains unpublished essays by Marco Meneguzzo and Rolf Lauter as well as a selection of excerpts written by the most important curators, critics, museum directors, journalists who have studied the work of the German artist over the years.  CLICK HERE to participate.   • The season 2022-23 of Studio la Città inaugurates with an exhibition featuring new works by Hiroyuki Masuyama. The artist returns to Italy with an unprecedented series realised with a special carving technique, dedicated to the fleeting nature of time. Playing with Shadows, this is the title of the exhibition, will be hosted at Studio la Città from 24 September until 29 October 2022.


  • Marcela Cernadas presents the work “Cenacolo” in her solo exhibition entitled “Soffio” which will be held from 2 July to 1 September 2022 at the Zago Family Foundation in Asolo. Curated by Mauro Perosin.


  • From 07.01 to 10.09.2022, the Mart Museum of Rovereto presents the exhibition: Eros and Hypnos, in collaboration with Associazione BelleArti from an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi and Massimo Minini, curated by Denis Isaia. The exhibition builds on an important collection of drawings by Pierre Klossowski put in dialogue with the work of Pierre Molinier, Carol Rama and Hans Bellmer. On display it will also be possible to admire a selection of works by Carol Rama recently exhibited in Verona during her solo show at Studio la Città (ended up on May 28th).


  • From 24 to 26 June 2022 Studio la Città is in Palermo to participate in a new exhibition format: Hit! SUPER-MICRO ART-FAIR – nomadic, shared, exotic, sustainable and super-micro art fair. The first edition of Hit! will be hosted in the spaces of the RizzutoGallery whose owners, Giovanni Rizzuto and Eva Oliveri, are also the creators of the project. Participating galleries: GallleriaPiù – Bologna, Lunetta11 – Mombarcaro (CN), Studio la Città – Verona, RizzutoGallery – Palermo.


  • Studio la Città inaugurates the exhibition Art Attack/Unfolded on Saturday, June 11, 2022, presenting a series of new works by Stuart Arends, realized for this exhibition. Until September 10, 2022. Arends returns to that original form and imbues it with a renewed energy. He opens the boxe’s edges in a new way and gives a fresh twist to the boxes, now dotted with fingerprints and with glimpses of words appearing under the paint. The same words that bestow the works of a title.


  • Studio la Città dedicates a very comprehensive exhibition-tribute to the German artist Herbert Hamak with works from the 90s to today, never exhibited before. The title, Kobalt Grün, Permanent Rot, Ultramarinblau Dunkel,  Permanent Gelb, suggests the German names of the pigments that Hamak uses the most to create his works. These, masterfully proportioned, layered and mixed with resin, result in a study of colour that can hardly be enclosed in a specific category. In the gallery from 11 June to October 29, 2022.


  • From Saturday, June 11, 2022, Jacob Hashimoto’s colourful realm returns to Verona on occasion of a summer exhibition presenting new wall pieces: not only works featuring the iconic “kites” that have established the artist on the international scene, but also a new series of detailed woodcuts, realised in collaboration with Durham Press. On display at Studio la Città until October 29, 2022.


  • ЯƎ is the title of the current exhibition running until October 31, 2022 at the Palazzo Reale of Palermo (Duca di Montalto rooms). Sixteen great contemporary artists symbolize sixteen paths to open reflection on reality: Alberto Burri, Saint Clair Cemin, Tony Cragg, Zhang Hong Mei, Anselm Kiefer, Jeff Koons, Sol LeWitt, Emil Lukas, Mimmo Paladino, Claudio Parmiggiani, Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Tania Pistone, Andres Serrano, Ai Wewei and Gilberto Zorio.


  • Studio la Città is pleased to announce that from April 23rd to November 27th 2022Lucio Fontana’s work Vittoria Alata will be displayed in the historic Negozio Olivetti in Piazza San Marco, Venice, within the exhibition Lucio Fontana and Antony Gormley. The show, part of the collateral events of the 59th Venice Biennale, is conceived and curated by Luca Massimo Barbero and realized by Associazione Arte Continua APS, B17 and Galleria Continua, in collaboration with Fondazione Lucio Fontana – Milano and FAI – Fondo Ambiente Italiano.


  • Light Cycles by Arthur Duff is the work hosted at the MAXXI Museum in Rome on the occasion of the 105th Giro D’Italia. The new Maglia Rosa of this edition was in fact presented on April 7, 2022 in the Roman museum where Duff paid homage to the sporting event with a luminous laser projections during a journey in stages: from Catania to Naples, up to Parma, Turin and…in the end Verona.


  • PLOT HUNTERS is the exhibition that, starting from 26 March 2022, will show works by Maurizio Donzelli, Arthur Duff and Antonio Marchetti Lamera on display at the Fondazione l’Arsenale of Iseo. Curated by Ilaria Bignotti in collaboration with Camilla Remondina and with the patronage of the Municipality of Iseo. Until Sunday 22 May 2022.


  • Three years after his passing away, the Madre Museum in Naples devotes the first major museum retrospective to Lawrence Carroll. The exhibition – curated by Gianfranco Maraniello – investigates the history and figure of this protagonist of the North American and international art scene, not comparable to the history of the avant-gardes and neo-avant-gardes.   • From 19 March until April 24, 2022 the Kunst Museum in Solingen – Germany, hosts the exhibition by Hiroyuki Masuyama: ZEITREISE 1817 – 2022, a real journey through time that touches the various series of the Japanese artist, from lightboxes inspired by the great masters from Romanticism, to those on nature and its changes, up to the most recent interactive installations that refer to the relationship between man and time through the study of constellations.


  • Starting from February 15, 2022, the works of Kevork Mourad will be exhibited by the Tanit Gallery in its Munich headquarters, in a beautiful show titled IMAGINARY CITIES: CHAPTER IV, the last chapter of a project divided into 4 different appointments to explore and reinvent the city. In collaboration with Anna Garano, Reisingerstrasse 6 – Munich.


  • Starting on April 2nd 2022 the Piero Atchugarry Gallery Miami will host the exhibition 50 Years, a Day. Studio la Città, a Story. An open dedication from gallerist to gallerist, a tribute to 50 years of an institution, that of Studio la Città, which has contributed to defining the history of contemporary art in Italy. The result is a retrospective exhibition curated by Marco Meneguzzo including emblematic pieces by Stuart Arends, Gabriele Basilico, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Lawrence Carroll, Vincenzo Castella, Lynn Davis, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Garutti, Herbert Hamak, Jacob Hashimoto, Igino Legnaghi, David Leverett, Emil Lukas, Giulio Paolini, Michelangelo Pistoletto, David Simpson and Ettore Spalletti.


  • Studio la Città opens the spring season with: Seduzioni e Sortilegi, a large retrospective exhibition starting from March 12, 2022 and dedicated to the artist Carol Rama (1918-2015). With this exhibition, Studio la Città brings Carol Rama’s restless world to Verona for the first time and, for the occasion, chooses to reconfigure its large open space with an ad hoc installation to recreate the intimacy of the house. The exhibition, running until June 4, 2022, is curated by Marco Meneguzzo and organized in collaboration with the Sardi per l’Arte Foundation.


  • Silvana Editoriale published the new volume titled Il libro di Padova, dedicated to the works by Vincenzo Castella.
    The book contains 77 color images, featuring a text by Salvatore Lacagnina (Italian-French).


  • On the occasion of the finissage of the two exhibitions THE TIES THAT BIND US by Kevork Mourad and OUT OF THE FRAME – in collaboration with Officina Dario Pegoretti –, Studio la Città organizes a live performance by KEVORK MOURADSaturday 5th February 2022 at 11 am. Event by reservation only  – subject to availability. In compliance with current regulations, access will be allowed with the Full Vaccination Certificate (Green Pass) and FFP2 mask.
