  • After the interruption due to the pandemic, the MAPO (Museo Arte Ambiente Arena Po) reopens. Three large sculptures by Antonio Ievolella, Renzogallo and Costas Varotsos, are now part of the renewed open-air exhibition path.


  • Between space and surface is the exhibition curated by Riccardo Caldura that marks the reopening of the exhibition space of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, the Magazzino del Sale 3. Arthur Duff exhibits here together with Ludovico Bomben and Francesco Candeloro.

  • Michael Najjar participates in the exhibition: OVERVIEW EFFECT, hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade (MOCAB), with 3 large-scale works from the “outerspace” series. The title, taken from the 1987 book by Frank White, describes the cognitive change reported by a number of astronauts who have gazed upon their home planet from the perspective of space. From  June 19 to September 20, 2021.


  • From June 5 and for the whole summer period, Studio la Città will be devoting a tribute to the famous photographer Gabriele Basilico by reserving some of the gallery rooms to his work about the city of Beirut.

  • We are pleased to announce that Herbert Hamak’s Untitled – Rot PR170 installation has become part of a prestigious American private collection.
    Hamak focuses on the purity of color, enhanced by a skilful use of light which, filtered by the resin, shapes it and makes it different according to the different moments of reading.

  • Hiroyuki Masuyama is one of the artists in the exhibition True Fictions. Fotografia visionaria dagli anni ’70 ad oggi, the first retrospective exhibition ever held in Italy of staged photography. The exhibition opens at the Palazzo Magnani Foundation (RE) on 17 October 2020 and will end on 4 July 2021.


  • The Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri host the show Fons vitae by Antonio Ievolella, installed in the small and large cloisters of the Chapel of San Bruno. The exhibition is open from 11 October to 30 November 2020.

  • Michael Najjar is one of the artists who are part of the new exhibition at the Gallerie d’Italia in Vicenza entitled FUTURO | Arte e società dagli anni Sessanta a domani, conceived and curated by Luca Beatrice and Walter Guadagnini with the patronage of the Comune di Vicenza.


  • Andreco is one of the ten internationally renowned artists who are intervened in dialogue with each other and with the landscape of the Villa Borghese Park on the occasion of the Back to nature exhibition, a path of installations that, from 15 September to 13 December 2020, involves some corners of the ancient garden, the great green lung of Rome.


  • The photographs by Massimo Vitali will be on display at the MEF – Ettore Fico Museum, starting on Friday 25 September 2020. The exhibition will include more than 30 works, chosen from the production of his last twenty-five years.

  • Studio la Città continues with its collaboration with the city museums, in particular with the Museo di Castelvecchio. This time the protagonist of the collaboration is the installation by the artist from Athens Costas Varotsos, titled Orizzonte, a work from 1996 in iron and glass that the artist, habituated to working in large and often natural spaces, has decided to place in the castle gardens.


  • Arthur Duff is taking part in the fourteenth edition of Meccaniche della Meraviglia, a cultural manifestation directed by Albano Morandi who has involved eight artists of national and international fame, and who has asked them to intervene with installations and site-specific works in various areas of the city of Brescia and of Puegnago del Garda.


  • Giorgia Severi is one of the four artists who are part of Nature Inquiete, a collective show that opens on 4 September 2020 in the Church of Santa Maria dell’Angelo in Faenza. The exhibition is organized by the Diocesan Museum of Faenza and curated by Giovanni Giardini. The site-specific installation About The Creation was created for the apse of the Church of Santa Maria dell’Angelo in Faenza for this landscape exhibition.


  • In October Studio la Città will be opening its new series of exhibitions with the show La Musée 2 – a group show curated by Azad Asifovich and organised in collaboration with the Galerie Italienne, Paris – which brings together fourteen female artists of international renown, and that for the stop in Italy has been augmented with some new works. In fact the long term aim of the show is to become an itinerant exhibition, to be proposed for a tour that will touch on various venues, enlarged at times while keeping intact its intent. The opening date, scheduled for October 10, 2020, could be postponed to 2021 due to the current health situation based on the evolution of the pandemic from Covid-19.


  • Luigi Carboni and Marco Neri are among the nine artists, of three different generations, presented within the exhibition: DISTANZIAMENTI: until 27 September 2020 at the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Ascoli Piceno. The issue of distance, physical and symbolic, is addressed through possible contemporary pictorial research.


  • Hiroyuki Masuyama will show his lightboxes in a solo exhibition set up at high altitude.   • Nine Sicilian artists agreed to the invitation of Davide Bramante and Aldo Premoli, respectively front man and curator of this exhibition in order to show their works in the magnificent Tina di Lorenzo Theater, in Noto (Sicily).
