The University of Verona, the first university in Italy to own such a collection, has received a donation of 110 works from the Agiverona collection by Anna Pedron and Giorgio Fasol, already in use as a loan since 2019 for a value of 1.27 million euros. The signing of the donation, by the rector Pier Francesco Nocini and Giorgio Fasol, was on Thursday 14 November, in the Barbieri room of Palazzo Giuliari, in the presence of Riccardo Panattoni, president of the Contemporary Commission of Ateneo.
The works, exhibited mainly in Santa Marta and Ca’ Vignal buildings, resulted in the permanent exhibition Contemporaries/contemporaries and the latest Bios techne since 2019. These initiatives, conceived in dialogue with the city, had trained students now active in the art sector and attracted thousands of visitors.
