Light Cycles by Arthur Duff is the work hosted at the MAXXI Museum in Rome on the occasion of the 105th Giro D’Italia. The new Maglia Rosa of this edition was in fact presented on April 7, 2022 in the Roman museum where Duff paid homage to the sporting event with a luminous laser projections during a journey in stages: from Catania to Naples, up to Parma, Turin and…in the end Verona. The universe of words comes to life in a circular way, interacting with the architecture of the squares and the facades of the monuments in the darkness of the city. The narration, which for each place takes on its specificity showing an unprecedented vision, comes to life step by step with a pace that progressively grows and culminates in the grand finale in Verona on May 29th. Project curated by Valentina Ciarallo. Giro d’Italia 6 – 29 May 2022.
