Hiroyuki Masuyama is one of the protagonists of the FutuRuins. Il corpo e la pietra exhibition that opens on Wednesday 19 December 2018 at Palazzo Fortuny, Venice.
The exhibition focuses on the aesthetics of the ruins, a crucial element in the history of Western civilization, a symbol of the presence of the past, but which at the same time contains within itself the potentiality of the fragment. On display are Masuyama’s photographs representing the Roman landscapes painted and engraved once by Giambattista Piranesi.
