Jacob Hashimoto, Hiroyuki Masuyama, Kenichi Ogawa and Shu Takahashi are some of the protagonists of the exhibition I Say Yesterday, You Hear Tomorrow: Visions from Japan which will open on Wednesday 11 July 2018 at Le Gallerie delle Prigioni in Treviso.
The exhibition, part of the research and interpretation of the numerous narratives contained within the Imago Mundi project, explores and revisits the past in order to imagine the future: beginning at the onset of the atomic age, it reaches the present day and goes beyond, revealing the many ways in which Japanese contemporary art interprets the dialogue between nature, technology, tradition and time. Elements typical of Japanese tradition accompany the visitor through the Gallerie, revealing subtle links between life, rituality and temporality.
