Thursday 27 September 2018 opens the solo exhibition, entitled Clouds and Chaos, by Jacob Hashimoto at the Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas.
For the occasion, the American artist has created a new installation, made with its typical kites, called Clouds (2006-2018) which explores these formal traditions and looks at how clouds can function as divisions of space while still serving as the apotheosis of ethereal formlessness. The installation is joined by a selection of Hashimoto’s woodblock and intaglio works created over the last three years in collaboration with Durham Press (Pennsylvania) and Mixografia (Los Angeles).
