Studio la Città is pleased to announce that the artist Jacob Hashimoto has been selected by the
Guerrieri Rizzardi winery for the creation of the
Clos Roareti label – 2017: the tenth bottled vintage on the market produced in 13,333 numbered bottles.
On the label, the central image of the kite is an abstraction of the grapes: the 10 grapes represent the 10 vintages, a period in which Giuseppe Rizzardi, creator of Clos Roareti, accompanied the development of these ten harvests. The background grid is an illustration of the first 14 numbers of the famous Fibonacci sequence, a sequence that we see in the natural world around us. The label is chaos, chemistry and control.
Jacob Hashimoto
To capture a wine in an image is an impossibility, and here, Hashimoto strives not to capture the vintage, but to capture an analogue of the process: the annual toil, the repetition, the calculation, and the inevitable transformation of the winemaker’s specific, complex relationship to the land.
