The collaboration between the Central Institute for Catalogue and Documentation (ICCD) and the Ducal Palace of Urbino – Regional Directorate for National Museums of the Marches continues in 2024. Since 2021, they have found in the Rocca Roveresca of Senigallia an ideal place to present research projects related to contemporary photography, both for the suggestive historical setting and for the recognition of Senigallia as a city of photography.
This summer is presented the exhibition “Vincenzo Castella. Renaissance, natural light” dedicated to the architectures of the Italian Renaissance, to be recognized or discovered thanks to the gaze of one of the most interesting masters of contemporary photography.
Paintings, sculptures and architecture of the vast Italian artistic heritage portrayed with Flemish clarity that dialogue with the rigorous sixteenth-century spaces of the Rocca.
The project is among the winners of the call for proposals Photography Strategy 2020, promoted by the Directorate General Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition, curated by Francesca Fabiani, will be open to the public from 5 July to 7 November 2024.
