Arthur Duff was born in Wiesbaden (Germany) in 1973, lives and works in Vicenza.
In his works, he stresses disconnection. Nothing is standardised. Duff’s pieces are primarily an act of renewed awareness in which words and images stray from their natural course and assume a provocative, sometimes enigmatic and even indecipherable role.
The knot is not a decorative frill or the umpteenth escamotage of a kind of art in constant search of new, easily consumable stylistic features. Duff has used the knot since 2003 with the aim of harnessing contents, transforming them into ambivalent and precarious objects.
