BALAJI PONNA, The things I say

Balaji Ponna born in 1980, lives and works in Baroda.
Meticulous like an Indo-Persian miniature but spread over large surfaces, Balaji Ponna’s painting immediately declares its belonging and its relevance to the history and chronicle of his nation: India is the great country of the great crowds, of the great hopes, of the great commitments, of the great patriotism, of the great illusions, of the great disappointments, where the politicians promise, the military parade, the industrialists pollute, the masses manifest, in a system of personal and social relations where the only one to be the master is the rhetoric.
