Brian Alfred (Pittsburgh, 1974) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Brian Alfred works fluidly between painting, collages, digital drawing and animation. The collages are made from Color Aid paper cut with an X-acto blade. The artist works with collage paper to create “paper drawings”. These collages are made in a similar fashion to the computer drawings and paintings. The small scale and tactile nature of the collaged paper give them a more intimate feel.
His work is in such collections as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Denver Art Museum, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
