DAVID SIMPSON

David Simpson was born in Pasadena in 1928, lives and works in Berkeley, California.
It is difficult to grasp in their fullness the works of David Simpson. They are works that need long observation times. A quick, distracted look would risk being rejected. In his paintings is the poetry of the minims that are revealed slowly: no clamor. Rather a kind of exercise that imposes concentration in open rupture with what is around us.
