Emil Lukas was born in Pittsburgh, U.S.A., in 1964. He lives and works in Stockertown.

However much, each work of Lukas, such as his stacked columns, is a convincing whole, it is always a collection of various elements. Each element on its own is an extract from, or a single moment in a process begun somewhere else. This in turn sets off a chain of new reactions.
Emil Lukas has done several works of this kind, pressing a sheet of bubble rap on wet plaster then colouring the holes with acrylic paint.

This small plaster work was one of several proposed to Luciano Benetton in 2013 for his collection of 10x20cm works.
