EMIL LUKAS, Between Life and Death
Emil Lukas was born in Pittsburgh, U.S.A., in 1964. He lives and works in Stockertown.
Lukas uses a wide and diverse range of elements for his work, ranging from plaster to wood, to canvas, to waste. Some of his works are born precisely from the waste that he daily accumulates in his studio to form a high pile, subsequently fixed and cut into the appearance of sculpture.
