ETTORE SPALLETTI
Ettore Spalletti (Cappelle sul Tavo, 1940 – Spoltore, 2019)
The color is its mark of recognition: blue, pink, gray and white are the ones it uses, more rarely black. They are taken directly from nature and together they form a chromatic range that covers light and shade, the atmosphere ( understood as the synthesis of air and sky). The colour mixtures, when they are not directly pigments, are applied on the support in several overlapping layers in order to accentuate their lightness and volatility. He prefers the tables, but calling them paintings is not entirely correct: they are cut, extroverted, inclined, irregular, protruding.
