Fausto Melotti was an absolute protagonist of Italian art, and his ceramic production is fully part of his artistic journey, developing from the Second World War until the early sixties; and even if Melotti sometimes feels “forced” to face this material, for reasons of survival, actually finds in it a further instrument of invention of new forms and of “transformation” of the very concept of sculpture.
