Filippo Rizzonelli was born in Riva del Garda (TN) in 1991.
He currently lives and works in Bologna.
In 2017 he graduated from the Atelier F of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, specializing in painting. In 2021 he graduated from the Master’s Degree in Visual Arts at the IUAV in Venice.
Since 2017 he has been among the founders and active member of the artist-run space Zolforosso, since 2022 of the Venetian city network COMECOME.info, and since 2023 – in Bologna – of the artist-run space Fermata Pellegrino. In 2024 he is reported in the publication “222 emerging artists to invest in”, edited by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi for Exibart, with a commentary alongside by Cornelia Lauf. Since 2021 it has been part of Venice Time Case, a project curated by Massimo Barbero.
His creative research develops and substantiates the active mix between pictorial practice and site-specific installation, critical writing and socio-cultural organization, peripatetic sentimental exploration and political activity.
