Gabriele Basilico (Milan 1944 – 2013).
The form and identity of cities, the development of metropolises, the changes taking place in the post-industrial landscape have always been his privileged areas of research. Considered one of the masters of contemporary photography, he has received many awards and his works are part of important public and private Italian and international collections.

This volume was published on the occasion of the exhibition Gabriele Basilico: from San Francisco to Silicon Valley at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 2008.
