HIROYUKI MASUYAMA

Hiroyuki Masuyama was born in Tsukuba, Japan, in 1968. He lives and works in Düsseldorf.
His work shows a detached vision, although not alienated, of what, for a northern European, is the monotonous normality: in video the Nordic seasons pass and go over again miniaturized in a very fast cycle; a light-box reveals an urban park throughout the year, the forms are dissolved in time and illuminated by a light that seems the ghost of the passing day.
