HIROYUKI MASUYAMA
Hiroyuki Masuyama (Tsukuba, 1968).
The light boxes of various sizes by the Japanese Hiroyuki Masuyama are not mere photographic reproductions of William Turner’s paintings and watercolours. It is, instead, an operation of conceptual matrix on the method of work of the great English artist. The subject is the works that Turner made during his trip from London to Venice.
