JAMES BIEDERMAN, Recent works, 1986-87

James Biederman was born 1947, in Bronx, NY.
Biederman began simplifying his means in the Spring of 1986 in a series of watercolors. He consciously limited his palette to conté, yellow, blue and black allowing the colors to mix as they were applied wet to the surface. The resulting muted tones are very different from the bold, brilliant color of his earlier work.
