Marcela Cernadas, born in Argentina, has been working for a long time both in her home country and in Italy and Spain. Her research and artistic production, along with her writings in a constant intellectual and poetic output, highlight the main themes of her work: food and light as vital figures, and art as a vital figure as well.
Active for years on the international scene, her work has been interpreted and embraced in var-ious areas of thought, through gender, academic, and religious readings. She has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, in various museums, foundations, and festivals. Her works – which include video, film, photography, painting, sculpture, and installations – are found in prestigious international collections.
