Marco Gastini 1938 – 2018
Marco Gastini, has been one of the historical names of Italian painting, the one linked to matter, and outside of any artistic current. “He was an exceptional artist and friend”, reminded to Artribune Gilberto Zorio, one of the maestros of Arte Povera with whom he shared the building in the Vanchiglietta area, in the historic center of Turin, where many artists’studios are located.
For the solo exhibition at Studio la Città in 1995, he painted the invitations printed by the gallery. He painted them one by one for the visitors of the exhibition. Now they are a witness of his pictorial gesture.
