MIKHAEL SUBOTZKY

Mikhael Subotzky was born in South Africa in 1981.
The series of photographs of Beaufort West are a portrait of a small town. After the series “Die Vier Hoeke” (which means the four corners, the inside” and the series “Umjiegwana” (which means the outside) following the life of former prisoners, I decided to take care of the people on the margins of society in a small South African town. These photographs are a small part of all my research on Beaufort West done within a year.
