Mirco Marchelli (Novi Ligure, 1963) lives and works in Ovada, in the province of Alessandria.

Artist and musician with multifaceted skills, since the mid-nineties Marchelli developed the first works in the field of visual arts, in continuity with his musical research. The keys to his work are the memory and charm coming from everyday objects: flag poles, stools, small furniture, pieces of wood or fabric, books, booklets, registers, boxes and photographs. The artist covers these objects with a layer of wax that on the one hand transfigures them, on the other hand makes them eternal, however with new life and new meanings.
