PIER PAOLO CALZOLARI

Pier Paolo Calzolari was born in Bologna in 1943. He lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
Calzolari’s artistic practice is outlined as a story of reality that passes through its constituent elements, in which the abandonment of any representative logic meets the expressive potential of the material; the rigorous compositional structure derived from the pictorial language is transposed to the realization of installations that inhabit the space; the chromatic value is obtained thanks to the color generated by materials and procedures that become part of the creative process.
