Ted Stamm (1944-1984) is one of the most multidisciplinary conceptual artists who worked in SoHo, midtown Manhattan, in the 1970s and early 1980s.

It is not necessary for the viewer to know the origins of what they are looking at in order to experience it in the way the artist intended. Black is a constant and distinctive component of his works, a colour that he associates with rebellion, rigour and reduction.

This work was exhibited at the exhibition Senza tema. Paper at Studio la Città in 2018.
