VINCENZO CASTELLA, Mississippi / Tennessee 1976

Vincenzo Castella, then in his early twenties, spent four months in the South of the United States in the area around the Mississippi River. His is an ethnographic survey in search of the latest bluesman: he listens to them play, collects the testimonies. At the same time he discovers a ‘minor’ America, of places and people on which usually no one looks.
